We're Hank and Eli Cedar. Two generations, six plumbers, one truck per job. If we say we'll be there at 9, we're there at 9 — not "sometime between 8 and noon."

What's that noise / smell / drip

If your house is doing this, here's what it usually means.

Symptom
Likely cause
Ballpark fix
Slow drain in one fixture
Hair, soap scum, or grease packed in the trap or branch line. Almost never the main.
$189 snake
Slow drains everywhere
Main line is blocked — usually tree roots in older Eugene homes or a sag in the line.
$325 scope + clear
Brown / rusty water
Sediment in the water heater tank, or galvanized supply line breaking down inside the wall.
$160 flush — or repipe quote
Banging pipes (water hammer)
Air chambers waterlogged or a loose strap behind drywall. Worse when a washer or dishwasher shuts off.
$245 hammer arrestors
Running toilet you can hear at night
Flapper not seating or fill valve worn. Wastes ~200 gal a day. Easy fix.
$135 flat
No hot water / lukewarm
Pilot, thermocouple, or element on a unit pushing 12+ years. Sometimes it's time.
$185 repair · or new install
Sewer smell in the bathroom
Dried-out P-trap, failed wax ring, or a vent stack blocked by a bird's nest. Yes, really.
$185 – $310
What we do

Residential plumbing — start to finish.

01 / Drains
Drain & sewer

Snake, hydrojet, scope, locate. We clear it, then show you the video so you know what was in there.

02 / Water heaters
Water heaters

Tank, tankless, heat pump. Same-day swap on standard 40/50 gallon if we have one on the truck.

03 / Repipes
Repipe & remodel

PEX or copper, whole-house or a single bath. Drywall patched, not just cut and walked away from.

04 / Sewer
Sewer line repair

Spot repairs, trenchless when it fits the job, full dig when it doesn't. Honest about which.

05 / Leaks
Leak detection

Slab leaks, in-wall leaks, mystery water bills. Acoustic and thermal — minimal cutting to find it.

06 / Fixtures
Fixture install

Faucets, toilets, disposals, hose bibs, water filters. Bring the fixture or we'll source it at cost.

9On-site, not 8-to-noon
The time window pledge

Booked for Tuesday at 9?
We text at 7:30. On site by 9.

The cable company gave us all PTSD with "sometime between 8 and noon." That's not how we work.

You get a real one-hour window when you book. The morning of the job, we text you when the truck leaves the shop and again when we're 20 minutes out. If we're going to be late — which is rare — you hear about it before we are.

If we miss the window by more than 30 minutes without calling, the diagnostic fee is on us. Written into the work order.

Who's actually showing up

Two Cedars. One crew. 27 years.

Hank Cedar
Founder · Master plumber · OR CCB #189442

Hank started Cedar Creek out of a single Ford F-250 in 1998 after fifteen years working for somebody else. He still runs service calls four days a week — mostly the tough diagnostic ones. If you've got a weird whistle in the wall, that's his call.

Eli Cedar
Co-owner · Journeyman plumber · 11 years on the truck

Eli grew up handing his dad wrenches and got his journeyman card at 23. He runs the shop side now — scheduling, estimates, the texts you get the morning of your appointment. He's also the reason we finally take credit cards.
